Apple released Safari Technology Preview 145

The latest version of Safari Technology Preview is here.

Today Apple released Safari Technology Preview 145. The latest update includes the usual series of performance improvements and bug fixes for users who enjoy running the latest innovations offered by Apple’s built-in browser for Mac. .

The latest Safari Technology Preview is an experimental version of Safari for users running a Mac that currently has macOS Big Sur or macOS Monterey installed. The preview lets developers and generally curious people test out Apple’s latest and greatest browser features and provide feedback to the company before the public version goes live for everyone.

It’s currently unclear when Safari Technology Preview 145 features will be available to the general public.

The new preview update is available for users running macOS Monterey and macOS Big Sur. Apple noted in the Safari Technology Preview 145 release notes that it has released a number of updates for:

  • Web Inspector
  • :has() pseudo-class
  • Container requests and containment
  • CSS Grid
  • CSS
  • Dialog element
  • JavaScript
  • Media
  • WebAuthn
  • Web APIs
  • Content Security Policy
  • Security
  • Service workers
  • WebRTC

Luckily, it looks like tab groups will sync in this build, unlike previous builds which specifically stated that tab group syncing wouldn’t work.
