Today, Asus announced a new 2-in-1 tablet designed for IT professionals known as the ExpertBook B3 Detachable. It has a Snapdragon processor associated with Microsoft’s Windows 11 Pro operating system.

The tablet offers an eight-core Snapdragon 7c Gen2 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a storage capacity of just 128 GB of eMMC memory.

Extended battery life

This tablet has a Windows 11 operating system with an ARM processor, which promises to provide users with considerable additional battery life compared to x86 configurations.

This tablet is designed for business people who need a small, portable device to take quick notes and consult spreadsheets and other documents.

If you’re looking for a laptop for professional video editing or Photoshop intensive work, you might find it difficult to take advantage of the device’s hardware specs.

To make the Asus Transformer Book Trio (B3) a true 2-in-1 device, Asus paired it with its ExpertBoard keyboard, which magnetically connects to the tablet and works like Microsoft’s Surface touch cases.

However, the tablet itself cannot hold the keyboard at a stable angle for comfortable typing. Asus therefore offers users a separate support to serve as a kickstand for the tablet when it is not in laptop mode.

Aspect ratio

While specifications for the B3 are not yet available, Asus says it will feature a 16:10 screen. Rather than the 16: 9 aspect ratio of many current laptops, this widens the screen, giving you more room to work.

Resolutions are still pending, but 1080p is supposed to be one of them.

The only ports on the device are a single USB-C port and a headphone jack on the right side.

The only I / O on the device appears to be a single USB Type-C connection and a single headphone / mic jack on the right side. On the left, you’ll find your power button, volume buttons, etc.

The B3 creates a collaborative environment for group note taking, thanks to a stylus that loads into the integrated stand above the table.

Fast charge

The tablet charges the stylus quickly, and you can use the stylus for up to 45 minutes after just 15 seconds of charging.

Asus has also specified the ExpertBook B3 to meet the US MIL-STD 810H standard. The B3 is built to military standards, so you can count on it to withstand heavy use in the field.

Features include a USB-C port that can be opened and closed 15,000 times without breaking, and the ability to withstand 18 shakes of 40G when the device is on.
