Harness data in motion across data sources and distributed environments with an extensive library of connectors and new features ready for Anthos

Many organizations struggle to connect data sources that span multiple clouds, databases, and hybrid environments. This often requires custom connectors which are difficult to scale and time consuming to build and maintain. Confluent has partnered with Google Cloud to facilitate the data connection between Confluent and the Google Cloud ecosystem. Over the past year, Confluent has expanded its library of over 120 pre-built connectors to include Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Dataproc, and Cloud Functions. Using them, businesses can quickly link their on-premises architectures and other SaaS providers to Google Cloud for smarter machine learning use cases, sophisticated analytics, and real-time data pipelines.

These features are easy to launch directly from the Google Cloud Console. With Confluent available on Google Cloud Marketplace, the integration is seamless. The use of Confluent Cloud is simply added to the monthly Google Cloud invoices. This makes Confluent a fast way for Google Cloud customers to put their data in motion.

“We needed to be up and running as quickly as possible, so we needed something that could be provisioned quickly, almost instantly,” said Chirag Dadia, Director of Engineering, Nuuly. “This is one of the main reasons that Confluent and Google Cloud have become the obvious choice for us. Being able to pull data from our Kafka subjects and send it to BigQuery with Kafka Connect means we don’t need to introduce new technology stacks into our environment, which saves us valuable time.

“Confluent and Google Cloud allowed us to manage our large database footprint and retire our old data platform, which was in many ways our Achilles heel,” said Jason Mattioda, Head of Platforms. business forms and data engineering, Rodan and Fields. “After moving to real-time streaming on a modern cloud-based architecture, we can now bring new features and capabilities to our customers and know that they won’t be slowed down by an outdated architecture. “

“From a technology perspective, we want to continue to invest in platforms that offer new capabilities and improve our ability to deliver faster,” said Mike Onders, executive vice president, divisional data director and manager. of enterprise architecture, KeyBank. “Working with Confluent and Google Cloud and investing in our center of excellence has enabled us to democratize data and decouple IT systems to reduce complexity, costs and time to market for the digital transformation to company-wide. “

To enable businesses to take full advantage of data wherever it resides, Confluent for Kubernetes is now Anthos ready. Anthos enables the deployment of Google Cloud technology and partner services on premises, in clouds and at the edge. Organizations that use Anthos for multicloud and hybrid deployments can use Confluent for Kubernetes with centralized management through Anthos.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Google Cloud’s engineering and product teams to facilitate and accelerate comprehensive real-time data analysis for all businesses. Our strategic collaboration aims to ensure that our clients succeed in creating the next generation applications and operations that drive their businesses.
