The International Student Advisory Council (ISAB) is hosting a series of community discussions for international students, where students will be able to make their voices heard and share their experiences in a safe and courageous student-led space.

The information gathered in the series will be assessed and communicated to institutional partners and leaders to implement the changes and create an action plan in conjunction with the N2025 strategic plan. This will also inform the Office of Global Strategies and the International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) of key topics for consideration for the next iteration of the International Student Experience (ISE) climate survey to be administered in spring 2022. The Community discussions also support the initiatives described in Objective 3 of the Moving forward together overall strategy.

Sessions will take place in the OASIS Student Lounge or the Nebraska Union’s Ubuntu Room. Dates and times for those interested in participating include:

  • September 29, 2021, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • October 15, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • October 25, 2021, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The student must register to participate in https://go.unl.edu/isabchat. Those unable to attend in person can share their comments anonymously at https://go.unl.edu/isabvirtualchat.

This series is a collaboration with the Office of Global Strategies, ISSO, OASIS and AFIRE of the College of Education and Human Sciences. For any questions, contact ISAB at [email protected]
