#KZNFLOODS: Local bikers to the rescue

THIS Easter weekend, local bikers took part in a road trip to offer much needed help and hope to the community in the Shongweni Valley and Upper Highway, which has been left isolated and badly affected by the floods.

According to resident Ursula and Terrence Havemann, the bikers brought food and water among other supplies. They entered the isolated area via the railway line and up to Stonehaven Castle.

Residents said, “It was very humbling and an honor to meet such selfless and caring people. Your spirit of Ubuntu, love of neighbor, kindness, generosity and compassion goes beyond.

During this difficult time, motorcyclists took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer their hearts and wallets to help strangers.

The Shongweni community is extremely grateful to the bikers for this act of kindness.
